The Illini Heartbeats is hosting its first campus-wide scavenger hunt on March 29th, 2008. Teams of 5 will race around campus from 10:30am - 3pm to complete as many tasks as they can, such as:
- Find the largest table on campus, and take a picture at it with 10 other strangers.
- Take a picture with a college dean.
There will be food and drink after the hunt while we tally the results, and announce the winners at 4pm. There will be some great prizes, donated from local businesses around campus. And best of all, 100% of the proceeds will go to the American Heart Association to benefit heart health research and advocacy.
Details
- Teams: 5 people on a team. Each on should come up with a team-name, and are encouraged to make team shirts.
- When and Where: Saturday, 3/29. We will meet at 10am on the quad for coffee and to pass out question sheets. Meet back at 3pm for food and drink. At 4pm, we’ll announce the winners and hand out prizes.
- Prizes: All prizes have been generously donated by local vendors. Prizes include gift certificates to local restaurants, bookstores, and one grand prize TBA.
Registration
Registration will cost $50 per team, with all money being donated directly to the American Heart Association. Additionally, we will be offering a discounted early registration for $40 until February 27th.
Online registration is available through Google Checkout for the same price. You will be prompted to enter your credit card information, as well as a contact email address. After you checkout, we’ll email you asking for a team name as well as a contact phone number. Your credit card will not be charged until we receive email back from you. To receive the early registration discount using Google Checkout, enter the coupon code “early registration”, without quotes.
Additionally, we’ll be offering registration in person on the following days at the south entrance of the Illini Union:
- Saturday, 2/16 from 2pm-4pm
- Wednesday, 2/20, 11 am – 1pm
- Thursday, 2/21, 11am – 1pm
- Wednesday, 2/27 (Last day for early registration) from 5pm-7pm
- Thursday, 3/27 at our “Go Red for Women” booth on the quad, from 10am-2pm.
